I enjoy the discipline that comes with economy. It forces you to find the truth.
Smaller budgets needn’t be a barrier to creativity, but they do leave you with nowhere to hide. If the idea isn’t good, you can’t rely on bells and whistles to distract your audience. You have to find the point of connection – and this is a challenge I relish. I even enjoy those ‘make something out of nothing’ briefs. Because I can.
