This brief came to me through Lionhouse, the agency tasked with creating a new brand identity for Alan Bartlett and Sons; a leading grower of carrots, parsnips, and onions. They had already recognised the importance of placing the family story centre stage. and when it came to writing the company brochure (aimed at major supermarkets), they dispatched me to meet the Bartletts and key members of their team. The passion and care of everyone involved in the supply chain was palpable. So that was the story we told, starting with the Bartletts, then moving through planting, irrigation, harvesting, sorting… all the way through to distribution. These human ‘introductions’ are complemented with facts about the scale of the operation set against pictures of the stunning Cambridgeshire countryside.
